Survey for business community to share pandemic experiences with Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry to close soon

People who were members of Scotland’s business community between January 2020 and December 2022 are being invited to share their experiences of the pandemic with the Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry.

The survey, set up through the Inquiry’s public participation project, Let’s Be Heard, which has been open since 15 August, will close on 30 September 2024.

It is crucial that the Inquiry hears from business owners, directors, managers, entrepreneurs, the self-employed, freelancers and others in the business community to help ensure Scotland is better prepared in future.

Let’s Be Heard would like to hear about key issues affecting business during the pandemic, such as access to financial support; issues related to staff recruitment during the pandemic; how business owners were affected personally; pandemic-related information provided to businesses; and key worker status.

Businesses of all sizes, operating in a variety of sectors and locations across Scotland, are encouraged to take part in the survey to help the Inquiry better understand the unequal impacts of the pandemic.

Third sector organisations such as charities, social enterprises and community groups, as well as for-profit businesses are also being invited to share their experiences and the lessons they believe should be learned.

The survey can be completed online. Paper versions of the survey, including in different languages and accessible formats, can be requested by calling 0808 175 5555 or by emailing LetsBeHeard@covid19inquiry.scot.
