Inquiry's evidence sources explained in short video

The Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry has produced a new explainer video discussing the sources of evidence it uses to inform its investigations and reports. It is the latest in a series of short videos answering commonly asked questions about how the Inquiry works.

In the video, Ian Duddy, the Inquiry’s Chief Executive, explains that while people may be familiar with the oral evidence given at public hearings, this is only one of many sources of evidence used to investigate what happened during the pandemic.

These sources can be classified into six main groups: from expert witnesses, voluntary and mandatory calls for evidence, witness testimony, academic research, and the Inquiry's public participation project, Let’s Be Heard.

The video can also be found on the Inquiry’s YouTube channel.
