Inquiry announces hearings update

The Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry will return, in June, to its premises at Waverley Gate, 2-4 Waterloo Place, Edinburgh. The Inquiry will then hold closing statements for its Health and Social Care Impact Hearings at its new permanent hearings space on 27 and 28 June.

Hearings will then be suspended until the following dates in mid-September:

  • 18 September: A one-day preliminary hearing for Portfolio 4 (Education, Certification and Impact on Children and Young People).
  • 19 September: A one-day preliminary hearing for Portfolio 2 (Financial and welfare support to businesses and individuals).

The preliminary hearings will be followed by the Impact hearings for Portfolios 4 and 2 later in the year. Information on applications for leave to appear at the impact hearings, and their dates, will be published in due course.
