Health and social care impact hearings to recommence in February 2024
The Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry has paused its health and social care impact hearings until February 2024. This is to allow for the UK Covid-19 Inquiry to begin its Core UK decision-making and political governance – Scotland (Module 2A) hearings in January.
This is in line with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by both inquiries, which sets out how each Inquiry will carry out its investigations in Scotland. The MoU also states both Inquiries will minimise duplication of work through information sharing and maximise value for money to the public purse.
The Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry will continue, as planned, with its second tranche of health and social care impact hearings in February 2024.
