Applications for core participant status are invited from those with an interest in financial and welfare support to businesses and individuals
The Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry is accepting applications for core participant status from those with an interest in the Inquiry’s Terms of Reference 2(j) and (l).
Term 2(j) refers to welfare assistance programmes, for example those relating to benefits or the provision of food, provided or supported by public agencies, while term 2(l) refers to financial support and guidance given to businesses and the self-employed, including in relation to identification of key workers, by public agencies.
Applications can be submitted until 11.59pm on 8 March 2024. Applicants should familiarise themselves with the Inquiry’s Core Participant Protocol, which includes information on the matters that the Chair will take into consideration when determining whether to grant core participant status.
After the closing date, the Chair will consider the applications and applicants will be notified of his decisions by the end of April.
The Inquiry’s Core Participant Protocol sets out the additional rights granted to parties designated by the Chair as core participants.
To apply for core participant status, please complete the application form below and email it to coreparticipants@covid19inquiry.scot.
The current list of core participants can be found on the Inquiry website.
